4 Reasons To Crave Fall

This time of year always reminds us of the feel of cool, crisp air and crunchy leaves covering the ground. Well...that is when we are back in the Midwest! Don’t get us wrong we aren’t complaining about 75 degrees and sunny, there’s just something to be said about Fall weather and the desire for a cozy home cooked meal. Mmmmmmm!!!

Now that we are all dreaming of delicious chili and cornbread, homemade macaroni and cheese, Grandma’s pumpkin pie and of course, a BIG fat glass of red wine, we decided to dream about the specific kitchen we would prepare these hearty meals in.

A Perfect Use for Your Favorite Things

Last week, Nate Berkus had one of our, "Not so Secret" crushes, Design Sponge on the show to share some of her favorite DIY ideas. We fell absolutely in LOVE with one particular idea and had to share with you. Grace, from Design Sponge showed Nate's audience how to turn a vase into a fabulous lamp. As if that was not cool enough, she then shared that for a finishing touch, you can use a favortie patterned fabric to make a lamp shade. Nate suggested using a stained garment that is a favorite that you cannot bring yourself to throw away...... UMMMM so NEAT METHOD of him!! We cannot wait to share this idea with some of our clients who are having a hard time getting rid of their favorite piece of clothing because of a stain!

Emmy Award Winning Show Asks for NEAT's Help

Last week, Modern Family, the Emmy award winning show practically begged for NEAT's help... well at least that is the way that we took it as we watched the episode. If for some reason you do not like the show modern family, just stop reading this right now - you should be ashamed of yourself! In this particular episode, Cam and Mitchell had an upcoming visit from the Adoption Services representative. Mitchell finds out about the meeting when he picks up the latest Glamour Magazine and sees that Cam has scribbled a note across Katie Holmes' hair about the time the representative is coming. Cam of course has a hard time deciphering what time the representative is coming and Mitchell tells him he needs a new method for keeping important dates and times. Of course Cam disagrees and swears by his method only to have the Adoption Services representative show up at their door and the two are completely unprepared.

This hilarious episode is actually the story of something that we see every day. Our clients are busy; their hands are full and they write down information on any flat surface that ink can be removed from.
